They work, just NOT well enough to be worth the money they cost. You DO NOT make big gains in horsepower using a Prom (chip) in the ECM on stock engine.

Re: Hypertech and Jet chips?

I was told that there is a member named Kevin Lorenzen, who's Dad goes by Dyno Don. I'm trying to reach them to burn a Chip for my 89. If you locate them, shoot me an e-mail

I had a Hyper Tech Chip before when I had an 89 Vette motor in it. Now it has a lower compression motor and an accell intake. My stock prom no longer works well.

Re: Hypertech and Jet chips?

If you go read on the DIY prom boards they talk all about those chips. None of it is good. They add a little timing advance and tell your fans to come on sooner. Thats about it. Do not waste your money.

Re: Hypertech and Jet chips?

your better off having brian at tbichips.com burn you one then buying those. the best option is a DIY yourself tuning like dynamicefi.com
