Kind of on topic, apologize for intruding, but do you guys find that you need the sets with three or so straight boots on the plug ends, or do the ones with 90 degree boots all around work OK?

Moroso Ultra 40. They have the lowest resistance I've seen than on any other wires. I like and use the build-your-own sets since you can cut it to your preffered length. I routed mine under the headers to the dizzy and I'm using the 90* boots. Just my .

I've always used nothing but Taylor wires. They are cheap and effective.

MSD 8.5mm Super Conductors are excellent and have very low resistance. Sets are available made-to-fit, no cutting required; they come with 90* boots, for running the wires below the manifolds/headers; they're available in red or black; and you can get them with or without the coil wire(which an '86 shouldn't need due to its coil-n-cap distributor cap). The set for my '87(with the coil wire) is a perfect fit right out-of-the-box.

spark plug wire resistance....ahum!!!
Think about how an ignition system works, as in what the conductor actually sees. Is it a DC voltage? Looks more like the + half of an AC current right? Now, go and do some reading up on how electrons flow through a conductor for AC and DC current, the AC part is interesting...very interesting!

Anyone have experience with Belden wires? Napa sells them with a lifetime warranty for about $40

Do you mind elaborating?
Only thing that comes to mind is how they flow more on the outside of the wire (why stranded wire can carry more load than solid core) but I don't think that's what you're getting at?

Re: What spark plug wires are you using?
i've used taylor spiro-pro 8mm wires on both a 350 and the 3100 in my monte... no problems at all, and they seem to be holding up well considering they i did them in ~2006?
LOW resistance compared to the stockers(all 8(or 6 in the case of the 3100) totaled came out to roughly the resistance of the shortest wire or less on a stock replacement set).

Re: What spark plug wires are you using?
On my 88 for the wires I bought two sets of standard wires. Between the two sets I had wires that go under the headers perfect and the wires left over made a nice set for the old V6 S10 so only two wires left over.
