Re: Vizard
Runs great, he gives you information an engine builder might not and you know it's not just something a guy heard from a guy who heard it from another guy.

I have How to Build Max Perf Chevy Small-Blocks on a Budget, and yes it is very informative. It also includes 10 real combo's with dyno sheets.
Re: Vizard
His books are an excellent wealth of information. I HIGHLY recommend them if you want to learn about modifying and building engines, especially the SBC.
His head porting articles prompted me to build my own flowbench (using information from him and other sources) and do my own heads using it as a tool. One of the most educational things I ever did.

Re: Vizard
I have his building horsepower book and keep meaning to order the carbs and intake manifolds one. It's very useful and has some interesting bits about block prep. It does seem a bit like a shopping list at times though, and I wonder about his love of all things K&N when most people seem a bit unsure about them. The below for example:

I'm not sure how he would make money off it but it just seems odd the way he's always recommending a brand, not a type of part. Not stopping me buying another of his books though
