I bought that exact one about a month ago. I have not put them in yet due to weather and time, but I don't think the quality can get any better. The machine work is perfect. Will they fit? Won't know until this weekend. But I expect them to fit fine.
there is a kit with 4 uppers and no lowers that are supposed to be for one door of a 4th gen (upper and lower on 4th). From all the reading these are the same as our uppers. About $75 or $79 for 4. So that is a better deal if they fit then you could buy lowers for both doors for about $15. That would save some money but my pass door is still tight.

My driver's door has a bit of a sag so I'd be interested in hearing/seeing (pics) how hard/easy they are/were to install, if they fit, and did they do what they were supposed to do. It's not something that I would normally undertake but I'll consider it based on your experience.Originally Posted by FNFAL308

Well, I just purchased it (3rd gen kit). If it doesn't fit, I'll post it here.

They look very similar to the ones TDS Sells/Andy Z28 makes. If so the quality is excellent, I got the geaseable ones, they are so smooth and zero play in the hinge. You may still need door alignment bar if the hinge itself is bent to realign with the striker bolt and body lines. My doors were rubbing bad on the ground effects and both hinges were slightly bent.
Now the fun part is removing the old rivets (use a dremel w/cut off wheel) and would recommend removing the door makes it so much easier. I guess you could remove the fender instead but the doors pretty much self align. You will also need to clean all the corrosion out of the bushing holes in the hinge and use red loctite adhesive for the new bushings. Would recommend door hinge spring tool from Harbor freight, about $5 and well worth it.

I got this kit from Top Down Solutions, but was lucky enough to have Lon install them for me. He owns TDS and had all the tools needed including some sort of dolly to hold the up while removing the hinges the door now works great. Great product.

Due to a rain-out, again it will not happen. Postponed until next weekend. We go forever without rain and then it seems to hit every weekend.
I installed the kit today. Directions that came with it are very generic. The install went ok, however. The parts went together easily. Just have to make sure the hinge holes are sanded/scuffed out quite well for the new bushings. I haven't tried opening and closing the door yet because my car is in pieces right now (paint prep).

This is what I bought, I then had a shop put it in. I really wanted the driver door strait and hung well. I think I gave the shop about $100 or so to install. The guy said they were a pain to get it. THough I think that is more 3rd gens in general not just the kit. Nonetheless, I have had it in for about 5 years. Works great. I have not put very many miles on the car so that might be something to consider.Originally Posted by ringo234

The HELP section in the auto part store only sells the lower hinge pin and bushings, not the upper hinge pins and bushings.Originally Posted by Dizturbed One

U could save money jst by going to the junkyard nd eating them of a 4th gen camaro. They were perfect. Was gonna buy a set for 80.00 but went to yard nd found a pair in good conditions took them off nd welded them on and fixed my problem. Saves a lot of money.
