Recommendations for lights?

Are there any aftermarket lights that are pretty easy to install into an 85 camaro? Light Halos or HIDs?

I have a good guy for your lights, his name is Kyle, he does retro fit projectors for our cars, easy plug and play. Here is his page: https://www.facebook.com/SkinnyBoyLighting

Or if you desire better lighting without the high cost, you might consider SilverStars.

They're far better than OE replacements.

This is true, but the projectors are far better than the silverstars. And are totally customizeable. Worth the price. He only makes 30-40 dollars off each set, and loves making these for 3rd Gens.

Re: Recommendations for lights?

Skinny boy lighting on facebook mentioned above is a fantastic choice, I was his first customer and couldn't be more satisfied they are retrofit projectors and the light output is amazing, night driving is like driving in day with these lights, and the cut off is fantastic and doesn't scatter the light like HID's

Thats because all of his prices are listed under the albums. Click on photos then albums and then pick an album and prices are shown.

Re: Recommendations for lights?

I had nothing but trouble with my HID, the high beam indicator light was always on, switched to the new silverstar zxe and it has worked perfect

Just adding a relay doesn't make the lights brighter, it's wiring the headlights with a thicker wire (lower number gauge) and wiring them straight off of the battery. You just use the power wire coming from the interior (C100 bulkhead connector?) to turn on/off the relay that you wired in for the headlights. It's not hard and fairly inexpensive and does help.

Exactly. I run #10 wire from the battery to a pair of relays (1 hi/1 low) and #12 to the lamps themselves. I have a harness that plugs into the oem headlamp socket and I use that to activate the relays
