Notch Back
Notch Back
Does anyone have any pics of the notchback besides the one on the gt auto cc site?
And does it do anything for performance? I dont know anything about it.
Thanks,

Here is a pic of a factory notch bakc. Beutiful, huh? And no, it does nothing for performance... maybe changes your aerodynamic charicteristics a little, but thats about it. Its merely a cosmetic item. Unfortunately, I personally dont like the GT Auto Notch Back... IMO, it resembles the same curviture as the rear glass. Just my oppinion.

Heh, I like GT Auto's because it keeps the glass outline.
There are a few people that have purchased the notchback and are having it painted and installed. We're all just waiting for the promised pictures.

There is a weight reduction when u removes that huge piece of glass. The motion notchback is around 70 lbs and a stock hatch is close to 300 (I was told that, I took mine off it is very heave). And remember 100 removed equal 1/10 off Ur 1/4

Nah the stock hatch is about 100, maybe 150, cause i put mine on myself, and lifted it myself, and Im not all that strong.

How many stock notches were made? I know the numbers were very low. I was with a few friends, and we were driving around looking at cars, and we went by this shop with a bunch of smashed cars outside, and we went to look at this nice mustang gt, and saw a third gen that was smashed in the front. We went to look at it and it was a notch! It looked just like the one in the pic, but we just assumed it was aftermarket, because of the rarity. It was night, so we couldn't read the VIN, but we are gonna go back and get the number some time to find out if its a true factory notch.
