What is the best fuel sending unit I can get for an 89 trans am with a 350 in it? I can't find one by Delphi, AC Delco or GM Geniune.

 

Those are long gone. I've used a Spectra, some people don't like them, but we don't have a lot of choices.

 

Aeromotive makes one and Holley does as well. You could also fabricate one fairly easy

 

I have an aeromotive unit. It works great but, it only has send/return/vent lines. Idk how that would work for emissions stuff(idk if you care about that). I think the stock harness/relay would need an upgrade. I think it pulls up to 12-15 amps and needed 10-12 gauge wire. I forgot what I installed at this point but the specs are aeromotives site.

 

Can this feed/return fittings be swapped out for bigger fittings like -8 ??

 

Obviously NOS is best, keep digging, sometimes you can get lucky.

Not really. The fittings are removable but they would neck down if you installed 8an. So you would have a point of restriction. Idk how significant that restriction would be. This is the top of their stealth system that is good up to 850hp (na) and 700 (forced ind) I'm using it on my 550hp blower setup and it's been great but it has its limits.
