if anyone has a set of Lakewood traction action bars , check them out for failure.
after a fellow thirdgenner wrecked his car we found that the traction bar bracket that hooks onto the shock bolt was broken. thinking that this may have been caused by the wreck , I checked mine . well mine has never been in a wreck and mine were also cracked . I have had my bars for less than a year and have put less than 1k miles on the car with the bars installed . I e-mailed lakewood (mr. gasket) and advised them of the possilble problem and some satisfaction ... they did not return my e-mail to date .
If anyone else have these bars check them and if the gold anodized bracket that bolts to the lower shock bolt is cracked or broken please e-mail me .

Has this crack been detected on the chrome finished bars or not? My dad has a set of chrome ones for his 66 Nova, and I was just wondering. Thanks You!

hes referring to the Traction Action bars which are thirdgen specific, the ones on your dads nova are just regular traction bars also called "slapper bars" they only work on leaf springs, as thirdgens dont have leaf springs its a totally different setup

everyone I know that had/has them the tabs broke in a heartbeat...they are pot metal or something....one person welded the crap out of it so it is not going no where now
