hey guys, i've been looking for a good set of heads recently. i really don't know much about heads at all. just know that alluminum is better for performance. the only thing is i have a very tight budget right now. so i'm not really lookin to spend money on somethin crazy like afr or even close to that price range. if anyone could direct me on a good path towards some nice and affordable heads...it'd be much appreciated. i was also checking out the dart iron eagle heads. are they any good..they seem pretty damn cheap...price
i heard from someone that you can't shave heads for tpi engine because it would set the intake off alignment..is this true?

I have heard good things about Dart Iron Eagles,from friends that have used them and here on the board, actually I am building a motor for my brother in laws '89 L98 Iroc with these heads.Only thing I have heard is that valve seals tend to wear out quickly on the street,thats hear say though.You can mill heads down for TPI or any motor for that fact,you just need to make sure that whoever mills them also corrects the intake mating side of the heads to correct any misalignment.My AFR's were milled and they also corrected the intake side automatically,never had an issue with it.
