Comp. Engineering Drag Shocks..Good or Not?
Opinions please... I have a chance to get a set of practically new Competition Engineering Rear Drag Shocks. Going to get it at a real good deal as well. These are part number CEE-2700. They are the adjustable kind 70/30, 60/40, or 50/50.
Couple of questions
1. Are they good shocks?
2. What exactly does the 70/30, 60/40, 50/50 mean?
3. Do they give a stiffer ride?
I am going to get both of these for $50 Canadian and according to the seller they were only used one summer and were used on the 50/50 setting.
Good deal or not?

i have the fronts and rear...
or I should say had...
the rears blew out in a week...
prob not good for daily driving...
thats just my experience..
I think with proper springs they should work good...I have eibach drag springs..they may be putting to much stress on them.
I would go with some good all around shocks..unless for the strip.

I've had them on the rear for about a year now. They've been on the 50/50 setting, they work alot better than the stock old ones did. However they're softer than any performance type shocks(like the AGX struts i have on the front) The numbers refer to the compression and rebound. I dont have any complaints about them, but no praise either.

I'm running them at the 40/60 setting. It's not that they ride bad but it's nothing like a shock meant for daily use or performance handling use. The AGX shocks are meant for handling which is why they feel better during daily use. The CE's are a performance shock, drag performance.

Thanks people!!.... seeing that my car is going to be on the street for probably 99.99% of the time I think I will go with some good quality street shocks... maybe Bilstein or Koni's
