Cold-Air Induction question

After going to both Thunder Racing and SLP's websites, it seems as if I want a cold-air setup I need to go with pn 21010?? It's a single intake, but is it for TPI only?? I have a 91' 305 TBI. Will this system work???

Gunny,

I have had the same problem trying to find a good cold air system for my '92 305 TBI. I decided to go with a dual snorkel from and L69 engine. Another option is a system from a company call Air Iduction Systmes. Their web site is ramairbox.com. Try them. They have a pretty good looking system.

Good Luck.

Bill

Well if I am not mistaken the L69 was the 305 H.O. that was an option in the '87 Camaro. I think it was the last camaro to have a carb. I could be wrong on that though.

The L69 motor was available from 83 to 86 (though only a very few were made the last year). Pics if you need them.

So those L69 engines were available on both Camaros and Firebird's, 83-86?? I imagine the L69 is has a carb on it? And what displacement engine is that? Some of these junk yard guys don't know what I'm talking about when I say L69...

Yup. They came only on the 305 ci V8, L69 engine. It had a Rochester QJet carb. Quarter miles runs show this alone will knock a ful .25 seconds from your ET

Close. What you have is an LB9, not an L69. LB9 signifies that it is a TPI fuel injected 305. The L69 was a carbed QJet 305.
