I need ac delete pulley part #
I could not find the part number for the a/c delete pulley for the tpi motor on the board any where. I went to gmpartsdirect but it would not bring it up.
The guy at the local dealer was not sure about the # and was going to charge about $60 for it . This seems a little steep!
thanks for any help!!

when i got mine it was part number 10055890, but if you type that into gmpartsdirect.com, it comes up as "water pump pulley" now and i dont understand why. So you might just want to email them. Mine came to about 55 with shipping.

thanks guys!!
I called my local dealer and he said he could get it for $45.00. plus tax. Not To bad of a deal.
Did anyone notice a difference in hp when you got rid of the a/c.
I was realy moving it out of the way to make it easier to work on my car, but if it reduces drag on the crank and frees up some hp then great.

It probably frees up a few HP, but i did it at the same time as my headers and cat-back, so dont really know for sure. But if you remove everything (condensor, compressor, accumulator, evaporator, AC box and all the hoses), you are removing about 30 or more pounds off the front end. It also frees up so much room in the engine bay.

why would you guys remove the air in your cars, i could understand if you couldn't get it to work or the car was strictly for the strip; but you honestly think it will make any difference in power other than 1 or 2 points. besides cleaning up the engine bay sum i can't see the point.
not to put anyone down, i just don't understand the thinking behind some of the ideas. to each his own i guess.

first of all i have ttops and windows. second my air conditioning wasnt even charged and why spend money recharging it with expensive R-12 when i am not even going to use it. Third, if i am not going to use it when why have all that weight seeing in my engine bay, not to mention how much space it takes up. So taking all these things into mind, why wouldnt i just rip it out. The engine bay looks so much cleaner and i have so much more room to change spark plugs, etc.. I think it was well worth it. The HP gains , if any, are just a bonus, not like i did it for the extra performance.

the extra room was the reason I was removing mine. and It needed charged up too. I will only be driving the car to the strip, and on short trips around here. I have the T-Tops and window tint so I can stay cool. When it get hot this summer I will be driving my other car.
It really does make a difference when changing plugs and wires!
