Starters

I think I am going to be needing a starter soon. I want to get one I can use with my 305, as well as with my 406 I am building. I would like to get one of the mini starters that jegs has, but there are so many. This one http://www.jegs.com/cgi-bin/ncommerc...%202409%202684 looks good, and has a better pice than some of the others. Any suggestions? Thanks!

I have that started on my solid roller 10:1 406 motor. It is a great piece and one of the least expensive starters out there. I am pleased with mine and would recommend it!

You could also just buy an LT1 starter from the Chevy dealer or a local auto parts store. It is a high torque mini starter like the one you want. It might not have quite as much torque as the one you are looking at but it is still more than adequate and is cheaper. I have this starter on my car because the stock one won't fit the T56 bellhousing and it is a great starter. Just an idea for you to consider.
