Any one else have problems with their cams in 305 lg4's non cc particularly the xe256h-10?
It made my car run horrible,stalling really bad idle etc.I ended up having to put the stock cam back in.

What are the specs on that cam? I wouldn't put a cam as causing that to happen unless the duration @.050 was like in the 290's! Sounds like a vacuum leak unless that cam is huge but I don't think it is.
It is as follows, in 212,ex ,218 lift ,.447, .454, 110*
This is the cam they(comp) recomended with stock heads,and then their web site says not to use stock springs etc.I think the problem had to do with the vacuum it created?
The car was also hard to turn over,like it had really high compression with a too small starter,had to do full throttle starts.(new battery)

Well it turns out that the Moron mechanic school instructor goofball didn't check for a vacuum leak(said he did,but lied)and didn't do the timing right.His exact word were "it's not my car so I don't give a ****"
So now the cam is out and the old stock one back in.
Nice huh!
