Best Gaskets

Just wondering what brand of gaskets everyone prefers to use. Most importantly, what header, and oil pan gaskets do you prefer. Am I correct in thinking that with SLP headers you aren't supposed to use copper gaskets because the headers are stainless steel?

ROL makes good gaskets but Fel-Pro is and always was #1

For header gaskets percy's dead soft aluminum are the only way to go! Never worry about a leak no matter how many times you use them. $35 dollars now saves alot of aggrevation. No matter what gaskets you use for the intake throw the end seals in the garbage and use black permatex. Another big PIA prob solved.

felpro for all gaskets!!! always they f****** rule!!get a one piece oil pan gasket for a pre 86 block(if thats the kind you have!) and it'll seal like a dream! copper gaskets S U C K !!!!!! i have them on my collector flanges and they were ok at first then after you re-install them a few times they loose the o-ring and theyre just like normal gaskets and then you have to use sealent of sorts on them! i'd go with the "dead soft aluminum gaskets seal great every time!!

Agreed with the above - Felpro all the way, except header gaskets. I got the Percys aluminums and they are the best! Used to replace paper gaskets all the f'in time until i got these - haven't touched them in a couple years!

The guy that welded up my exhaust used doughnut gaskets at the collector/reducer instead of the standard paper deal and those are workin great so far too. Tried the alum. there cuz i was burnin up the papers and that just didn't pan out...

Aluminum gaskets are better than sliced bread. I never retorqued mine after 12000 miles and not a leak!

The best gaskets on the market today are from SCE. My buddy is into Dragsters and he says that the majority of Top Fuel, Funny Car, and Pro Stock run SCE head, header, and supercharger gaskets. Milodon makes a great oil pan gasket for use with their oil pans they are impossible to tear or rip apart.

SCE Gaskets are the best you can buy for heads, headers, collector gaskets, superchargers, and their stainless steel o-rings are superior to anything on the market today.
