need help with wheel spacers asap!

Can someone tell me what size wheel spacers i need to mount either 16x8 rims off of a 96 Trans AM or a 99 Trans Am(dont know if those are the same or not). I have access to both. I was thinking 2" on the front and rear but i dunno. I saw a pair of 1.25" spacers on the classifieds was kinda curious if they would work.

you need 2.25" for the front, and 1.25" work fine for the rears

I used 2 1/2" on the front and 1 1/2" on the back... allowed me to get 255's on all four corners.

Something no one here seems to ever mention...

Since using these adapters I have had to go to a wheel balancing shop that can balance the entire hub assembly on the car. Removing the wheel, balancing it on the machine, and then reinstalling it on the car is not sufficient. The guys who make the adapters (Vette Brakes in my case) will tell you that the adapters are fine yadda yadda yadda... do yourself a favor and balance them properly... it makes for a much better ride.
