Year One Bad
Year one, for claming to be such a great source for products, which im not so sure is wrong, but they have the worst service imaginable. I order a left headlight motor for a 1990 pontiac firebird, i figured i need the part ill pay the UPS next day shipping rate, this is on a wednesday night. benefit of the doubt i give them till friday. Well no part i call and speak to a very hepful women that tells me they are backed up and didnt ship the part, they refunded me the shipping cost and told me i would have on tuesday(ups no service on weekends). Well its Tuesday alright, just got off the phone with Year One. The part is magically on back order now and im looking at anywhere from a week to a month before i get this part. Being given a small refund just isnt worth having to put up with different stories and failed garuntees. When you place an order if you do with Year One, make sure that your sales rep knows if the part is actually on order or not.

I had a similar experience. I ordered a lower shift boot (rubber piece that keeps out water) and they sent the upper shift boot (part that goes in the console). After I called them about it they said that the lower piece was no longer manufactured so I couldn't get one. I ended up with a full refund and got to keep the shift boot. I'm happy because I got free parts, but wonder why they shipped the wrong thing in the first place.

Year One
Thats funny, I ordered the lower shift boot for my camaro and they sent me the upper also and diddnt tell me the rubber lower was unavailable. I also ordered the upper shift plate w/ ashtray and it already had the upper shift boot installed on it . You think they would have caught that.Oh well .

I have ordered the floor mats for both my 91 Z28 and my 91 Formula from them. They are pretty pricey, about $80 for the Z and $100 for the Formy but they look great. The Z28 has "Z28" embroidered in black on the front two mats, and the Firebird has a nice black and red bird on the two front ones. I didn't order any special shipping so they both came in about 4 days.

If you have a problem with a service, call them and let them know their screwed up. They can't fix what they don't know.

You mean you don't think they have spies scouring Thirdgen.org for any mention of how their service is? Seriously you make a good point. I had a problem with my local GM dealer on the floor mats before I bought the nice ones from Year one. They "special ordered" a set especially for my 91 z28 and when they came they said "GM MR. Goodwrench floor mats" and didin't come close to fitting. I certainly told them about their service problem and they fixed it. I also complained heartily about it on this site mentioning their place of business by name. I kind of wondered if they didn't see that, but probably not.
