I stupidly bought a Jet performance six-pack chip package. I don't think the thing works: no matter which mode I select, there seems to be no difference. I called their customer service and the guy I talked to made me feel like a complete idiot. Finally he gave in and I sent the piece in for a check-up. When I called to check on its status, I got the same guy and again the pompous a** proceeds to dis me on the phone all over again. Where do businesses find these jewels to speak with the people that keep them in business? That guy has as much business working customer service as the Pope has playing center for the Celtics. Bottom line, don't expect much from Jet customer service.

 

well first of all there was nothing wrong with the chip cause those things dont work at all really. They may give you a lil more timing but nothing in the seat of the pants different. To answer your question about Jet I dunno about them I havent ever dealed with them.

 

I friend paid $550 for a custom JET chip supposedly specific for his application (hot 355 with 24# SVO injectors). They left the injector constant at 18# as it is for a stock 305. When the chip was read by another friend, he said it appeared to be no different than one would expect an over the counter "305 thermo chip" to be. Fans came on sooner,,, but they lowered the desided idle from 550 (stock chip) to 450 rpm????? What a bunch of MORONS!!!! Not to mention this chip put so much fuel in the engine it washed the cylinder walls down. Actually,, that was partially his fault since it was SO obvious the thing was running way too rich.

Anyway,, I wouldn't put a Jet chip or trust any of their products in or on my lawn mower.
