I see people paying more for used parts then you can buy new from the dealer. Are they that stupid.... I saw a used and damaged SLP cold air intake sale for 350.00. Last time i looked new they were 299.00. Grills are saleing for 75.00 classic industries has them new nos for 51.00. AM I missing something or are these people that stupid?

Your guess is as good as mine. My opinion is they do not know were to look for parts and they think they are getting a good deal. Just don't bid on items if you think they are overpriced.

Oh yeah, ive seen people get pissed off at other bidders, and win just to spite them, paying way more than they ever intended to pay in the first place.

Yeah I dont bid on them if I know better. Ive sent a few emails to inform people but have gotten no replies. I just recently started looking for parts there. I have gotten some good deals. Just couldnt understand why they would pay so much. Most parts start out at a fair price but by the time they fight over them. you might as well forget it. Good for the saler not so good for the buyer.

Have you guys noticed the increase in price for NOS parts for our cars?

Agreed....I saw a non ac heater box go up a $100 in the last 30 minutes of an auction. Final winning bid?.....$150!

A lot of research goes a long way....I always find out prices and availability of certain parts before I use ebay.

On the whole E-bay thing, I tried to sell my old 305 TPI on ebay and it sold. I was happy with the price it brought in. Then when the time came to get the clown to pay up, never heard a thing. WTF. Oh well, I guess they changed their mind. At least I still have my engine!!

I like it when stuff sells for a lot more than I expected.
I had am HO dual snorkel air cleaner assembly that a friend gave me and I posted it here for $75. No one wanted it so I stuck it on ebay and got $202.50 for it. I was happy.
