pace setter?
if anny of you guys post in v6 thread you know doubt know of our quest. my brother recently expressed to my his low opinoion of pace setter poducts, whats the deal... are they good or no?

"Entry-level performance parts", I suppose you could say. They make a lot of stuff for imports. Summit carries a few of their products, you know they wouldn't risk their reputation on total junk.
I put on a pair of their "turbo muffler" on the '57 in '91. They were still in good shape when I took them off in '00. I gave them to a fellow racer who had been running Cherrybomb header mufflers since the early '70's - he picked up about .3 in the 1/4 with the Pacesetters.
I have their cat-back on the Camaro, decent mandrel-bent, alumized pipes. I didn't much like the muffler inlet (2-1/2" expanded to fit the 3" I-pipe), so I put in a Flowmaster instead. After two winters, the Pacesetter pipes still look fine.

I had thier Stainless steel catback on my 86 Trans Am and was very pleased with the quality and sound of the exhaust.
