Different Vendors
I am constantly looking, trying to find good, quality Vendors so I can get parts for my T/A. So far the only ones I have found and delt with are Third Gen. Resource and Hawks (which are basically the same company, family ties and all that). There has to be others companies out there that specialize in third-gens. right? Let me know if there is. Thanks all!

any parts needed can be gotten from "LFN AT U" he has probably the largest stash of thirdgen parts I have seen. He has a large gathering every memorial day at his house(free food and beer) and it was around 50 thirdgen's last year. He has parted around 70+ cars and is really helpful....definately recommend him....tell him i sent you
THIRD GEN RIPPED ME OFF!
Like everyone else, I asked people I knew for suggestions on places to go, and I figured I'd buy something nice for my car, in this case, rear hatch struts and seat belt guides. So, on Third Gen Resource's website it says "rear hatch struts, $35". Now, I figure it means each, cause they can get pretty pricey, but I read through the whole ad and don't see any indication of otherwise, it says all over rear hatch struts, 35 dollars, so I order them. I get a total back of about forty dollars, and the receipt said shipping would be added on. The total amount (including shipping) was deducted from my bank account and soon after, ANOTHER $35 disappears as well. Now, I have been stuck at home working on my car, and I know I have purchased anything else. I called in good faith, and spoke with a woman who told me "oh, well, we messed up with the total, so we just took the difference out of you're account". She was exceptionally rude, and transfered me to some guy named Roy who was even more of a jerk, accusing ME of being negligent and giving me a guilt trip that this was a family business, and he couldn't afford to spare $35 dollars, and I was being irrational. I ask what makes him think that he can take money out of my account without my authorization, and he says "we needed it". I am ABSOLUTELY never going to buy anything from a company that feels they have the right to TAKE money out of my account WITHOUT AUTHORIZATION!

solitaryisobel,
Just to let you know, you can take them to court over a matter like this. I also know what you mean when you said that dealing with Roy and his wife or receptionist was hell. The woman that answers the phone needs a definite attitude adjustment because she is losing more and more business.

TransAmman87,
Yeah, I know. I didn't want to be an *** about it at first, I called figuring it was just a mistake and willing to forgive. Once they freely admitted to taking the money without authorization, telling me that they weren't going to "give away parts to anyone", I decided, oh, its game on now. They pissed off the wrong person now. Everyone else who got screwed over should say something too; I'm not saying this out of maliciousness, just that if the company is crooked, they should have to own up to it. After all these complaints on this message board, I'm surprised they are still around (let alone advertised on third gen!)

LFN AT U....he is a member of thirdgen.org
you can send him a private message and he has any parts you'll need basically.
I don't know if he wants his number given out so i won't , but you can also post on the chicago/indiana board for him that is.
