ACS Headers - Still no delivery.....

I ordered a set of coated Hooker 2210's from American Coating Specialties (ACS), one of our boards sponsors, around 6-weeks ago and still have not yet recieved them.

I've been told 'any day now' on more than a few occassions, and the original quoted delivery time was 10-12days.

I really hope they can get this sorted and get my headers (which have already been paid for) to me soon. It's slowing my whole project down waiting for these. They were always great on the email and by phone but have been less responsive as time has went on........

I've had no response from them in a few days..... Has anyone else had similar waits for products or problems with them?

BTW I have no grudge against the guys at ACS as long as they my product to me soon. This post will be deleted as soon as I have my headers.

How were they sent? UPS, or USPS? Got a tracking number?Makes a big difference.

My projects have been held up too, but I'm my own worst enemy...I keep changing my mind and upping the specs on everything. Money pit

They sent it via USPS. They have not got back to me with the receipt number despite several requests for it. Apparently, USPS don't have a tracking number system.

I was told that they had shipped out and were sent back from the UK to the USA because of a documentation problem. I've been told that they then shipped out a fortnight ago via USPS Priority and that I'd have them 'before the weekend'. But, still no show.

Any advice guys?

USPS does have a tracking system if the sender got delivery confirmation added to it.

Gordon,

Trust me I know how you feel. Thing is they are a reputable company- no Ryan Essingers here Did they mean that it would be with you for this weekend? If so hold tight, probs with documentation and the such do happen and can be genuine.

I would let them know that if you don't get them by the weekend you will want a full refund and basically make your anguish heard. I'm sure they will want to resolve this, like any real business would, without major drama.

Keep us posted!

Felix

Well guys, a letter came in from customs today saying they have a parcel for me. The duty etc work out to be approx. what I was expecting for the headers so hopefully that is what they the package contains.

It seems really dumb that they can't tell me whom the shipment is from - yet they post a letter to me demanding the payment of the taxes and handling charges etc.

I'll keep you guys posted! Hopefully the package will be here tomorrow and hopefully it will be the headers!

Ceramic coated polished silver Hooker 2210's:- $569.00 US.

With an extra O2 sensor connector welded in prior to coating, extra $18.00.

Shipping via parcel post at $115.00 US.

However, the buys at ACS were very helpful in the value they put on the customs invoice on the outside of the box.

I can't remember the rest of the numbers offhand but, I should have paid a LOT, probably about five times more than I did! That is, 10% import tax on the sum total, then 17.5% VAT on the top of that. You can do the number crunching!

Okay guys, good news, the headers are finally here and boy! Are they great.

I wouldn't have any hesitation in recommending ACS to anyone! They called today to check that I had recoeved them, and are changing their policy so that all international orders go UPS rather than USPS.

So despite the wait, which was USPS's fault, ACS get my thumbs up!

USPS Express Mail Service offers tracking, is as fast as UPS and alot cheaper when considering overseas shipping. Had >50 packages shipped that way to Poland and there weren't any problems

Great news Gordon! I'm chuffed for you.

My cam is waiting at my customs office too! The one I orderd from Summit of course not that idiot Ryan/ Christopher Essinger.

Man those headers were expensive! How did you get that one past the misses?
