just wanted to let you people know about a little problem I had with Trans Am Creations. a few weeks ago I found on e-bay grille for sale. the add said new GM parts and were painted black with silver letters. well I ordered one because mine was getting old and I thought this would look better. well the grille came a week later and I went to put it on and I removed the old one and thought I should wax the new one before I installed it! I use formula 113 which is sold in this club and right when I wiped it on the letters just came off! like it was water based paint! so I called Trans Am Creations and talked to Brent and he said that he never heard of this happening and he was going to contact the GM rep to find out about warranty! well after three days of talking they said I used an abrasive wax and they would not warranty it! well I told them that I've been waxing my old one for over ten years and this has never happen before so I asked to talk to the manager and was told that Brent was the manager and he transfered me to the owner! well I told the owner that this should not happen with the letters just wiping off and he told me that they will not warranty their product. well I said to him that I do belong to a few Camaro clubs and I was going to write to all of you about this situation and warn people about this part ! he said that I was trying to strong arm him for a new grille and that was just not true! I would rather have my money back then another part from Trans Am Creations.well I had a friend who just started working for a GM Dealer and he told me to bring the part by and they would warranty it. went to the dealer and they had one in stock and we took it out of the box and it was not painted!come to find out that this part is a paint to match using enamal paint! I was under the impression that this part was painted by GM but that was not true and thats why Trans Am Creation would not take it back! I do not know where Trans Am Creation gets this part from but it was in a GM box with part number 14081332 to end this long story I bought a new one from my friend for 25.00 and had an auto body place paint it for me. let me warn all of you if you buy this part from Trans Am Creations do not wax it or drive your car through a car wash because sure enough the letters will come off. it's a shame that this has happened because I just bought a 1987 z28 that needs a lot of body and engine parts and I could have purchased between 3 and 4k worth of used parts from them and now I am afraid that would not stand behind their parts. let me know what you people think. this is a great club and I have learned alot from all of you Jsel!

that sucks! I bought a k member from them a while back, and the thing was flawless, their service and shipping was good, hell they even sandblasted the thing for me.

They come from the factory painted, its not the best paint in the world, you're throwing stones at the wrong people.
