Rock Auto parts

I came across this site and it's ease of use / finding stuff was better than all the other sites I found... Plus, bigger selection of items....I ordered a few parts & if that works out, will probably order more...

http://www.rockauto.com/

As a side note...

I called some other GM Parts Place on line yesterday, the guy on the phone put me on hold (but must of not pressed the hold button & it sounded like he was taking some hits from a joint!) Then he tried to help me by looking at the same website I was at (unsuccessfully) wow...

I've ordered many parts from Rock Auto, both for my camaro and for my volkswagen jetta diesel. I love this site. They seem to have every part ever created, and the prices are outstanding.

Shipping is very timely as well, usually 2-3 days to new jersey.

If they started carrying aftermarket parts, I would spend every dollar I earn at their site!

I found some other stuff I needed after my first order, new electric window motor plug, $12, some lines for the power steering pump....

I was first looking for an AIR pipe, cat to diverter, Advanced Auto sold me the wrong one and can't get the right one...

This one says it's right... it's the only piece I need before going to the muffler shop to weld sfc's and new exhaust to headers...

A former co-worker told me about the site and recently I needed a radiator for my other car. Autozone and Napa wanted like $400 for one, I got it at Rock Auto for $160 delivered, with a new thermostat too. They were very helpful in making sure it was the right one for my car and the shipping was really fast, too.

it is a good source for parts. One caution, shop local first, I bought spark plug wires for my 02 chevy-same price as local-they turned out to be wrong ones, second caution make doubly sure what you want is what you order-som many choices on this site. They gladly took the return back, but amounted to a lot of work for what I could have purchased locally.

Re: Rock Auto parts

I shop there for my 83 trans am and my 75 Gran Torino. i live in the UK and the cost and speed of shipping is 2nd to none!

Great selection, great prices.

Just needs aftermarket parts as well to make it a one stop option.

Re: Rock Auto parts

Another thumbsup for Rock Auto. I ordered several parts for my '91 Z28 and got them very quickly. Great prices.

Re: Rock Auto parts

I agree. Good parts, great prices. However, they shipped me a part wrong (inverted the part #) and it was quite a hassle to get it straightened out. In the end it was fine, but problems are time consuming to address when the company is hundreds of miles away.
