I`m useing them.I got the coated ones,and they look good,but.....If I had done more research and asked more questions like you`re doing I would have saved a little more money and bought some heddmens or hookers.I believe they have to be slightly better than the stock manifolds on a stock engine, but on a moddifird engine they can start to be a restriction.They only have 1 1/2 primaries when most other good performance headers have at least a 1 5/8.You can get larger as well.Now I have to spend more money on another set which adds up to spending more money for headers than I would have if I just saved a little more money and not bought the flowcraps.I have however not had any problems out of them other than one exhaust leak in a collecter.Save a little more money you want regret it as i have.

 

I've never used Flowtechs myself, but I have put them in quite a few Camaro's and some mustangs, and to be entirely honest with you, I would never get them anywhere near my car. In ALL of the installs, I had to drill out the bolt holes because they wouldnt line up at all, the metal was cheap and the coating cracked and became discolored very quickly. Just my opinion.

 

They're a restriction, spend the money and get the Hedman long tubes and a set of S bends. I ran a set of Classic chambered mufflers off of this setup and it worked out awesome. You can do a Y pipe or a custom crossmember and tuck up the exhaust but I did it the cheap way and it rocks. Sure i can't go over big speedbumps anymore but the performance it gave the car is amazing.

long tubes sound good but this is my daily driver and i need the little ground clearence i have left

im just gonna keep looking...im looking for decent performance and reliability because im not gonna mod my 305 a whole lot and im eventually gonna replace it

Edelbrock tes are good for shorty's. Make sure you get 1-5/8 primary !

 

i was looking at the edelbrocks and i really like them but i dont want all that emissions crap, can i order them withouht the A.I.R.?

 

I aboslutely hate the set i have. They look like crap, and they also have had numerous issues with leaking and fitting up. They arent leaking now, but if I could do it all over again, i'd buy a set of edlebrocks or Hooker ceramic coated.

 

ya i want those edelbrock tes headers but all i can find it the emission friendly ones....im trying to de-clutter my engine bay so i dont want that crap
