:thumbs down: with my experience.
After waiting 8 days with an e-mail and a phone message left, asking for a response, nothing. I called on 4/30 @ 3:45pm and was told by Marlena, after specifing that it was a chrome-moly TA and tunnel brace, for headers, that it would ship 5/2.
Called Marlena today to verify, now it's doesn't ship till Friday and I'm still sitting with a car I can't drive because of a broken TA from two weeks ago, when I first submitted my order for $500.

Re: UMI Performance
a lt1 friend broke his and it took quite a while for them to replace it. personally i still use the stock one. best 60ft so far is 1.475. at 6.98 and 99mph. you gotta remember a stock unit does flex. but it's also light weight. i use a bracket and can adjust pinion angle wherever i want it. i set it low to compensate for a little flex.

It'll be used for a roadrace application, i figured I'd go with that over a couple of others

Re: UMI Performance
ive always been happy with UMI's products, their worksmanship is great. i ordered a large batch of parts on their last GP in January and im actually still waiting for my tunnel mount torque arm. it was a new product and they screwed up the trans mount pad and have to do a redesign. we totally swamped them with the GP and winter seems to be their busiest time or year, but it seems like a lot of people are bitching about how long it takes to get parts from them.

Re: UMI Performance
I wouldn't b*tch but I paid full price (missed the GP, day late dollar short, story of my life), meanwhile the car is undrivable while I'm sitting here waiting. Web-site doesn't state any problems with delivery past the 5-8 working days. They should at least acknowledge customers when they call in and leave a voice mail or an e-mail with contact information, in regards to my order, and respond. I would at least not had to chase them down, what ever happened to customer service.
I've always liked UMI's product, but I will look else where next time. Better support or an offfer of the discount for having had to wait, if it doesn't ship tomorrow (was told it would, this after I was told it would ship Wed) I will call and cancel my order 2 other companies are ready to ship while I wait for this one.

Re: UMI Performance
Yea, I ordered some stuff back in early april, and my parts just showed up. I emailed after I waited a full 10 busniess days after I orded, and they replied pretty quickly. Parts showed up, and are in top shape, and VERY well packed.

I figured they might be behind, start of raceseason, lots of guys buying stuff.

Re: UMI Performance
Yep, they have been swamped lately. But once you get your parts, you'll see that it was worth the wait. Top-notch quality!

Re: UMI Performance
Please supply me a name so I may look at the order and see when it will ship and where it is. We check our e-mails every hour or sooner, if you have not gotten a response yet then we must not have it. What address did you send it to? I checked all e-mail addresses we have no unread e-mails. Please PM me the name and e-mail address so I continue to do my research. With out it can not help.

Thank you,
Ryan

Re: UMI Performance
Ok I found the order, Tony right?

I do apologize for the shipping delay and yes last week you were told by Marlena it would ship on Friday and it has not. The Chrome Moly arms did not get returned from powder coat on time and they just came in today. The order is shipping today, I will refund you the amount you paid for shipping in order to make up for the delayed shipping.

As for the no e-mail replies, I am sorry but I just went through all our e-mails and spoke with Marlena and we have no e-mails from you? If we would have gotten one we would have replied. But I have no e-mails from 4-30 on from you. So I am not sure what happened there.

I will have the shipping refund processed first thing tomorrow.

Thanks for understanding,
Ryan

Re: UMI Performance
I met Ryan and talked with him for quite a while when I purchased my 91 Z28 from a friend of his and he seemed very much like the first class guy I believe he is.

FWIW, I would do business with him.

Re: UMI Performance
91Greenbird,
At the top of their web site states that it's 5-8 business days to process and get the order out to you. If you needed parts immediately then I would have ordered elsewhere, if you can wait i think you will be very happy with what you get.
My worries and this post came after the 5-8 working days, I have known UMI's reputation for parts, that is why I could wait initially and have sat quiet since I was able to get satisfactory answers from UMI to when my parts would ship.

It is posted on the front page of our site to allow 5-8 business days to process and ship orders, it is posted for everyone to read and I am not sure what else we can do to make you aware of this. You placed your order Friday at 6:02pm... we close at 4:30 and that is why the order was not processed until Monday.

We will do the best we can to process it faster for you. But please do complain about something that we have tried to make you aware of.

Thank you,
Ryan

Tony- Your order will going out today 2nd day Air and we will cover the charges. Thanks again for your patience!

Ive ordered panhard bar and LCA's from UMI and a panhard relocator from BMR.....UMI is 10x's faster at getting parts out than BMR.....

And i called and the gurl told me that she didnt charge the card yet because i didnt include my last name which i did and it was in my profile she didnt say it was closed at the time i ordered. i had seen umi products before and they look beautfull. even though its gonna take probaly 2 weeks to actually recieve the parts ill wait i didnt kno it would take that long until after i ordered.

Hello,

Thanks for the understanding. The order will be shipping on Friday for you. The order was charged Monday morning, however Marlena did have trouble locating it when you called because a last name was not supplied, we do have more then one Cody as a customer

Thanks again,
Ryan

I installed the Torque Arm Saturday, excellent manufacturing process, well worth the wait!
Little different getting used to the TA being mounted in the Tunnel brace are and hearing sound from that area of the floor board
Nice piece Ryan, thank-you again for your attention to my issue.I will be buying my K-member from you in the future.
