Impossible to get suppliers to export to UK

Why is that I am finding it hard to get suppliers to export to United Kingdom
ie: wheels and tyres for my camaro/Ram air hood /spoiler.
I have emailed lots of suppliers including well known ones this includes Hawk
but some do not even answer, some say yes I ask for prices then nothing from them
WHATS THE PROBLEM?????????
Mike

Since this is not specifically a product review, I'll move it to Vendor where it has more of a chance.

maybe they don't like the way you spell tires... really though thats odd that they wont, I mean shipping prices charges would probably be really high but if you're willing to pay it I don't see the problem.. I shipped a carb I sold on e-bay to italy, the shipping was actually higher than what I sold it for but the guy was willing to pay it..

Maybe it because people are constantly getting screwed when they sell stuff to people overseas. That added to the hassals of shipping and that US buyers pay the same amount and shipping is easier...... By the way I am not anti UK, just facts. Wish I was sitting in Deniros in Newmarket drinking a pint of pale right now.

That is the exact reason, a dealer has to do export paperwork, then hope you don't get a huge bill for duty fees (I got billed $600 on 2 $200 subs sent to somewhere in the Caribbean)

Hi, this is Perry from Modern Day Muscle. We ship worldwide daily but the problem with shipping large items like spoilers or hoods is none of the shipping companies we use ship that large of an item. We have shipepd several sets of wheels over the years to the UK and other countries though. We do not see the whole customs paperwork as a pain, its part of the business we're in and welcome all customers no matter the country.

Hi,I am in australia, and i bought a hood off hawks. That was shipped through a company called BAX GLOBAL so i guess they use that company for the bulk of the overseas freight. They organized it all after they gave me a shipping quote.Alll in all, it was okay, apart from the freight cost, but thats what you contend with for having something different.

Alicat.
