Ok, I'd seen a rather nice setup of the Xenon systems. I was curious #1 if this is what they are and #2 if they will really work with my 1986 Camaro Z28 " http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...m=250429727972 " They look sweet and I am thinking about getting them. I've just gotten the car not long ago and I remember how little I could see when I had a 97RS so wanting to get the best visability I can from my beast.

Dont buy those. Just look for the cheaper setup. I paid 20 bucks for the same lights off of ebay. If you read that kit only makes your lights look like HID. those are just bulbs with a blue lining around them. You will need to buy the lenses though. Then order the real xenon hid kit. It has two chrome little boxes and two bulbs with an adapter with it. I would go ahead and order the relay kit.
Heres where you can find the relay kits, just look for a phone number.http://www.xenonpros.com/?gclid=CLHV...FRBhnAodjgmZBQ

Start reSEARCHing, did you honestly think that 1 thread would have absolutely all the information needed?

First, get out of this thread and search. Then, if you still have issues, create a new thread elsewhere instead of hijacking this one about cheap, ebay NON-HID headlights.

Re: 82-92 CHEVY CAMARO CRYSTAL Headlights w/Adapter (Ebay seller 2004momo)

so, now that im back to reading this. my cheap non hid ebay lights acually make it so my high beams are always on a little bit unless i hit the highbeams on whitch makes only my regular headlights stay on. ive been living with it because i havnt had one single reason to turn my highbeams on in four years. i do want to fix this thoe because my highbeam light is always on on my dash. im using the stock harness. anyone figure out if i need to clip and move around the wires on the regular beams to match the pattern since they are the only ones with three wires or if the harness is nessasary? i have the regular fog lights in and only switched out the low beams with this upgrade. dont want to be messing with wires without a game plan.

Have you ever looked on ebay? Type 82-92 camaro headlights or which ever year your car is, it doesn't matter and it will give you probably 5 or 600 results of different headlight setups you can purchase. Oh and its cheap. Y'all are really making this more difficult than it has to be. This is a very simple thing to do, doesn't take a car fanatic to do this.

someone else may have said this already but a dremel works well for trimmin the buckets. just be patient...probly get one side done then have to charge the battery and/or replace the cutoff wheel if necessary.

You have a couple options.Find a Sylvania HID Xenarc kit.Which is basically plug & play.Or buy an aftermarket HID kit & fabricate projectors onto your car/kit.

I didn't have to trim the buckets at all. I bought the housings from Rallylights.com.

I haven't seen a complete HID kit anywhere that comes with the H4 headlight housings and the HID boxes and wiring. Just find them separate. You'll spend maybe 100 bucks total probably less and yeah I used a dremel also, made things way easier.

Try a motocycle HID kit.Alot of bikes have H4 bulbs from the factory. My o4 triumph uses them & i have HIDs, its also dual headlight system.Youd still have to use those cheesy ebay laps though.

Is that a new kit.Thats about what they were selling for when first available.I got mine for $167 on ebay(new), but i got lucky though. Not a bad price though. If you can afford it.Its a better system then the $100+ HID kits. Not that there's anything wrong with the other brands.

I had also picked up a set off of ebay for like $40 a pair. I actually had to dremel out the back of the buckets in order for them to fit correctly. With the ones that I have, if you didn't enlarge the bucket hole, the lights would stick out about a half of an inch.

I looked up the wiring diagram on here actually and just switched the wires to the proper location in the harness connector, and bam, my headlight work the way they were supposed to. H4 upgraded lights were worth the extra work for me, but if I had done a little more research then I would've spent a little more and gotten myself the one with the adaptors.
Where did you find the wiring diagram. I bought lights from ebay for my 1977 Buick lesabre. They did not come with the wire harness and when all the lights are connected when I turn on the headlights the high beams are on dim like a night light and when I turn on the high beams the regular lights become dim like a night light. Please help!!

Re: 82-92 CHEVY CAMARO CRYSTAL Headlights w/Adapter (Ebay seller 2004momo)

I own a 1977 Buick Lesabre. I recently bought these diamond cut euro headlights for my car. I have ran into a problem. After hooking all the lights up I turned on the headlights and the high beams are glowing dim like a night light while the regular headlights are nice and bright. Then when I turn on the high beam lights they illuminate bright but the regular headlights become dim like a night light. I have read forum after forum. I am not sure but I was wondering if this wiring harness kit (Matrix 01-133 - Matrix Upgrade Wiring Harnesses) would correct the problems that I am experiencing. I am so frustrated I want to rip out my hair.

Most forums I read are with Camaro's but my car also uses the 4 headlights like the Camaro's.

The kit that I bought did not come with any wiring harness. Everywhere I have turned has lead me to not solving the problem. Even the ebay seller treated me like I am an idiot telling me that the high beams are not dim that I am not looking at them in the right angle. I am not that stupid.

If you would like to see a video I have one if it would help for you to understand my problem. Just let me know.

Thanks,
Scott

84 1LE,

Thanks for the response. I will give it a try. I understand the image you posted a lot better. It makes much more sense then the little three lines one did. Maybe because the adapter was drawn in. Well I am going to head outside and give it a try. I will post again with my results.

Thanks,
Scott

Well they are out of the adapters. They are out of stock and don't know when they will be replenished. So now what? Can I use any heavy duty adapter?

I went ahead and ordered this:

http://www.summitracing.com/parts/GR...3/?image=large

If it does not fix my problem I can send it back. I am really frustrated over this and it is really becoming a hassle. I had read in the forum how this cleared up another persons problem. So I am going to give it a try.

FYI: I have that adapter and I still needed to swap the wires around. I also would NOT consider this a "Bandaid" fix. Your just swaping the factory configuration to the H4 configuration. How is that a "Bandaid"?

This one is not the extension harness that you have this one is the for the camaros with the H4656 to H4 and is not for use with the trans am with H6054.

I have the H4 extension harness for the H6054 for my trans am. it is made by KYO plug and play harness

A bandaid fix is a "fix" that does NOT fix or only partially fixs an existing problem. If you have this adapter & STILL HAD TO SWAP THE WIRES AROUND.Then it did not resolve the problem.Thereby making it a bandiad fix, thats how

Those adapters & the schematic DONT always fix the issue.Thats makes it a bandaid fix!

Re: 82-92 CHEVY CAMARO CRYSTAL Headlights w/Adapter (Ebay seller 2004momo)

I am so happy it works!!

I took some pictures of the harness installed. I didnt think of taking any while I was installing it. There is a picture of the relays, then I have a couple pictures of the headlights working.

Note: To those who want to try and be funny I know my car is not a Camaro. This is a 1977 Buick Lesabre which the 1977-79 Buick lesabre's have been one of my dream cars. I also hope to own a 1982-92 Chevy Camaro convertible someday. Atleast I will have the practice on what I need for the headlights for my Camaro.

Once again thanks guys for all the help.
