i'm sad to say that i have decided to stick to selling injectors and fuel related products LOL I thought that it would be a great idea, however, I'm not sure that i would be able to make everyone happy and that i was kinda getting in over my head. Sorry guys
From a business stand point, that's probably a good decision. With a little searching, there are some third gen tee shirts already on the market, and for those that would like to, you can get custom made ones for a little more.
Probably have copywrite infringment. Then you get into legal problems. All maybe's. My opinion of alot of third gen people are, some of us love our cars and some us like our cars and some can take it or leave it because they are reasonable to get. We for the most part are not like, say, the Corvette people, that eat and breathe their cars, so trying to sell some shirts that probably won't appeal to most is not a good business venture. I have some IROCZ tee shirts i have found on the web, but they are different designs and different colors, but if anybody wants to make and sell third gen shirts, I'd say go for it, but you might want to sell them in other places also. I often thought why TGO doesn't offer hats or T shirts with their logo on it for sale to members. Admin and mods might want to chime in.
I would definitely buy a shirt if the logo was a clean simple one. No offense but I don't like the shirt in the first post. looks really dated, even for a 2008 post.
Maybe a simple profile shot, our cars dont differ as much from the side as they do the Fr. or Rr.Dont need wheels either, just a silhouette. One for FB, one for camaro.
I have a graphics shop where we do custom t-shirts. I can't tell you how many times we have done a "line" of shirts with different designs and shirt colors and it usually does not pan out, Design is in the eye of the beholder and there is no way that you can please everyone. I have a few digital print machines that you can do one off designs but the cost is still pretty high, even though no screens or setup is needed. I myself am not a big fan of putting a specific car in a design, not only does it look dated but now you just narrowed your market. Nowadays i feel simple, generic and clean works best. Guy Harvey found the niche and people have been trying to do the same for years with very minimal success. I made a few shirts for me a my buddy who has a 92. His is a black hard top and I have a red vert. Here is what I did. Don't think I could sell these because the logos I used but you get the idea, Simple, clean and anyone who knows these cars know that is a 3rd gen Z28 logo.
so as I mentioned in a previous post I decided not to go ahead with this "brainstorm" that I came up with. Unfortunately
I think it will be way too complicated. There are so many opinions of what people like and what they would want for the design that I feel we wouldn't be able to make everyone happy.
Hope everyone understands.
