Spohn

Anybody else have a really bad time with Spohn's customer service? Had a problem with parts i bought and they dont seem to really care that there is a issue, the parts dont fit, and that im unhappy.

Great way to keep customers, I'm never dealing with them again

Re: Spohn

Really, you of all people. I thought you had talked to him about your offset rear LCA's. Either way, I've only had 1 medicore experience with him in the last 10 years of buying maybe 40-60 percent of his 3rd gen product line and that was a driveshaft of all things. I hope he's going to make it right with you.

Re: Spohn

I havent ordered anything from them in a long time except my driveshaft last year and never had a problem since the part was good. I think it took longer to ship than anything but other than that, since I had no part problems I never had to deal with their service.
What parts do you have that arent fitting correctly? I am with AC, i remember your custom offset LCA's they made you and you seemed happy with them

no need for him to do anything at this point, i have some new brackets to finish and the coilovers are usable on the 92. Then i have to build more for the 86.

Its just the details that annoy me the most. You would think that if you build and sell a part, you would at least check to see if it fits the car properly?

I couldn't agree more. I purchased an upper panhard brace from Granatelli that absolutely wouldn't fit. I finally had to threaten to involve Visa to get a return authorization--and this was after a number of e-mails with pictures that demonstrated the fitment issue. As you say, 86, annoying. And like you and Spohn, I'll never deal with Granatelli again.

Re: Spohn

I've never had a problem with spohn. I have a few things from them, LCAs with brackets, subframes, torque arm, and panhard rod. It takes a while to ship but their products are top notch. I haven't had any issues so far and I think soon, I'll be purchasing their front suspension rebuild kit. Hope everything works out for you 86ta, keep us updated.

Re: Spohn

Never had a problem with Spohn...I have ordered a lot of parts over the years and only returned one order. And from the claim and their credit was only (1) week. So if you feel put off, go somewhere else.

Re: Spohn

I got in contact with them again, and he offered to exchange the shock for whatever length i thought world work better. Did mention that other people had the same issues and was open about it.

So i guess this case is closed, The offer was made to make things right, and i respect that even though i have corrected the mounting issue for the coilovers and they are usable now. I mentioned what was needed to be corrected for the kit to work, so maybe there will be a revision in the future.

Never had a problem with ship times or the quality of their work. Maybe just a oversight on their behalf.

Maybe i will continue to use them after all.

Re: Spohn

86, my experience was with a driveshaft being advertised to fit the TKO600's which it didn't. Found another guy here that had the same exact issue. He refunded my money and shipping costs, then pulled the product offering from his site. I'd deal with him again and have.

yeah i remember that, The issue is apparently just with the yoke manufacturer, inland empire's tko yoke is wrong, and thats the one he must have used
