Cherry Bomb for third gens???
Anyone else seen the ads on the top of the forum that stream from time to time with Cherry Bomb claiming to have products for "your third gen camaros?" I clicked on the link and the only thing I see remotely close is a 98-02 catback utilizing their "pro" line muffler, a crossflow design similar to most 1-in, 2-out style mufflers. Anyone know if they're actually developing anything for our cars? I for one would love to see a GMMG type catback featuring cherry bomb glasspacks instead of chambered mufflers.

Just put a cherry bomb glass pack on my 90 RS. The classic "Red Bullet" Cherry Bomb design. Looks like a good flow thru and of course will get the cherry bomb glass pack sound. Auto parts store listed it as the stock replacement. I had to mod a few minor things but probably because I wasn't replacing an all stock rotted out muffler to begin with.

I for one think it would be way too friggin loud as is the GMMG, I tried to combine flow and quiet on my exhaust system but then again I am old but it is hilarious when some kid with some loud *** car wants to race me in my quiet Trans Am with 425hp and a 175 shot of spray and I dust him.
PS: By the way I am running a Dynamax 3" in dual 2 1/2" out, hooker shorties and high flow cat.

Re: Cherry Bomb for third gens???
Not many guys can pull of clean mandrel bends, and it's pricey which is why I'd like to see someone develop a system that's more affordable. I may try and locate someone close by and have them do this for me, but I don't think it would be too loud. I have heard GMMG on a catted car and it sounds great, aggressive, but not overly loud. I have a force II catback now and like it because it's quiet, also have an electric cutout if I want some runmble, but I would love to have a dual glasspack catback. I may try this yet.

Find a shop that does mandrel bends and make a bunch of Glass Pack/GMMG hybrid systems and start selling them on Ebay...lol

I thought about it myself but you need to take supply and demand along with production cost into factor. I don't want to spend a fortune making 100 exhaust systems that cost me $400 a piece and sell only 10 of them and be stuck with 90.
Price would also have to be competitive with other systems on the market. Also you would have to worry about copy rights, say you use Cherry Bomb Glass Packs I would be scared to call them Cherry Bomb systems on Ebay because of all the law suit happy people in this world.
Best bet would be to use some generic glass packs and come up with some cheesy one off name like (rolling thunder exhaust system) it's still a feasible idea and make em for 3rd gens as well as 4th gens, if you could buy the mufflers and have a shop make a bunch of them for cheap say $300 or $400 each and sell them for $600 I think people might take notice especially when a GMMG system cost more than twice as much.
Getting ready to do an exhaust on my kids Camaro with 350 tbi and I might actually have a shop build one of these just to see how it sounds...going to do the exact same system as my car has and thats Hooker 2055's with 3" Y pipe, high flow cat but he wants his car louder than mine...go figure kids now days!

You're farther ahead in the planning phase than I am! I don't have the time to hatch a scheme like this at the moment, but you're right, I would definitely try and locate a supplier myself to avoid any patent or copyright infringment
