Showcars - Don't touch with a bargepole

Back in May I paid for a GTA rear wing, including shipping, ~$800USD and after 8 months and 20 odd international calls have finally given up ever seeing the thing.

Unfortunately I was stupid, and didn't demand a receipt/invoice, paid via Western Union, and didn't google their reputation beforehand.

So far I've been told stories about shop moves, staff problems, laminators, but basically nothing happened until I started getting grumpy 3 months in. Presumably it's waiting on 'finishing', but it's been that way for the past 2 months (and 7 or so calls) and frankly is never going to happen, if it even exists.

Basically, don't touch these guys. Some other links from thirdgen for people who've had bad dealings with them:

Quote from a moderator, on TGO of all things:
I really wish we could get rid of Showcars Body parts, or at least not be associated with the rest of us Canadians that actually try to come through with good parts.

There really should be a sticky on this guy. He has been doing this for a while.

I used to work at UPS and he used us to ship his parts. Bad quality, poor packaging, AND we cut off his account and made him paid cash.

Good luck.

Over the years whenever there was a report on SCBP it would range from getting nothing to getting a poorly saturated piece of matte with a puddle of resin in the center. Junk!!

This is the third thread I've read tonight about scamming auto parts. There should be a log some where with the scammers 411 so no one else gets burned around here.
