What is going on at Hawks?

Their site has been down on and off throughout the day and no one is answering.... I placed an order Monday for some tune-up parts and I was hoping to get the parts by today or tomorrow to work on the weekend.

They haven't responded to my messages through their "contact us" option on their page from earlier in the week. Never had problems with them before. What the hell is going on?!

Re: What is going on at Hawks?

I am having the same experience with Hawks as well.
Placed an order several days ago and heard NOTHING from them.
They did not charge my credit card, but now I'm stuck waiting on them for a reply.
I wanna order the parts somewhere else but with my luck....
Hawks will wake up the same time I place my order from another place and I'll be stuck with the parts or be force a re-stock fee.

Re: What is going on at Hawks?

my thoughts exactly... There has been a lot of trash talking about Hawks on here throughout the years but I've never had a problem, always defended them. I just want an answer!

They need a crash course on business management. I know personal stuff comes up but there should always be a back up plan in place. Just from reading this thread and a few others, I am scared of ordering from them. Once your rep is shot, your business goes downhill fast.

I haven't ordered from them ever since I ordered a part and it took so long to get it they wouldn't even let me return it.

Re: What is going on at Hawks?

Hi,
Just a note on some of the above questions, there are no problems with the site or the business we are just SWAMPED right now! Starting this week our phone lines will be open from 1-5PM eastern standard time, we are making this change to better serve our current and future customer base, this will allow us to have more time to focus on current order shipping , service work and manufacturing. although our phone lines will be open from 1-5 we will have more people on the phones to answer any questions or take any orders we can help our customers with at these times. Feel free to still use our website to place orders or feel free to email me direct at bruce@hawksthirdgenparts.com
Sincerely,
Bruce Hawkins

Hi,
Actually our rep is not shot and we are busier than ever and actually looking for qualified employees as our business has outgrown our staff, That is one of our biggest issues is finding employees that are willing to work not stand around for a check. It is always easy to comment on something you do not have any facts on , maybe you live close enough and would like to send over a resume we could always use some more help Who knows maybe you could be the one to run it one day !
Sincerely
Bruce Hawkins

My apologies then. I rarely ever post on here. I've been coming here for over 14 years though. My statements weren't made for nothing. I've heard quite a few complaints over the years about Hawks in here and other forums. I honestly have needed some stuff but was afraid to order from you. You seem genuine though. And a you can't please them all .

The one thing that gets my blood boiling is when I order something and sit around waiting for at least a email confirmation it some form of confirmation. I ordered a y pipe once from a now closed business. It took me weeks just to get ahold of someone. After like 20 calls , and me begging for a refund, they finally shipped it. They shut their doors not too long after. They said due to lack of staffing. Apparently they had been doing that awhile and people just stopped ordering from them.

Trust me , I would love to have a job like that.
I wish I had gotten into something at least auto related .

Sadly, that's the direction this country is going. People want a paycheck for nothing. Thanks Obama! Hopefully, you find some qualified help and someone who is really into these cars.

Thanks for the clarification Bruce. Like I have been saying, I have ordered from you guys at least 6 times before and no problems. I have never had your phone ring endlessly or have my emails go unanswered. Being swamped is a good problem to have, but still a problem. I work for a distribution company and we're in the same boat. Our warehouse can't keep up with the orders and it makes for angry customers.

Anyhow, if you could see to it that my order #85375 ships immediately, I'd really appreciate it! I will continue to order from you guys, thanks.

Kent

Hi,
Thanks for understanding and trusting where we are , hopefully we can help you soon as well!! It is hard for me as I have been successful for 15 years in this business and it is hard for me to downsize my phone hours but to be honest I got 10 people working 60 plus hours a week EVERY WEEK and at some point you have to choose between life and employees lives and make a change so you don't get burned out !! I hope this helps us take better care of our loyal customer base as i promise we are not going anywhere

Thanks again and let me know if I can ever help you with anything!

Sincerely,
Bruce Hawkins

Re: What is going on at Hawks?

There is no one better in both customer service and the quality of the work they do. I may be prejudice as they are doing an amazing project for me but I truly believe it. Bruce has always been there to answer any questions I might have. If you ran in to a glitch there I guarantee it's not something that normally happens. They truly are the best and no one know more about Camaros.
