Hello Thirdgen89GTA !!!

I also said that Denny was a good guy, just this time he must have gone "rogue", as he has done the same thing to other people this year as the previous posts have pointed out !!!

If you do happen to see/talk/hear from him, you could tell him that there are a few people not happy giving him money to the tune of $500.00 give or take, just so that he can disappear with it !!! Usually when you do a business transaction, and someone gives you your asking price for an item, you do what most people do, and send that item promptly, and send an e-mail with a tracking number !!! If you can't provide the item/service, the money should be promptly refunded !!!

As I also stated, he has shipped to me before, so the customs paperwork story sounds fishy to me, as he has shipped international before, and no problems !!!

That may have been, but now this is at least the 3rd or 4th person in last 2 months to post they have paid and not received the part. It's one thing to be slow shipping or having trouble but to not even respond to phone calls or E-mails is inexcusable.. Especially when you see him updating his personal Facebook and his Third Gen Facebook page and creating new Craigslist ad's pointing to his Third Gen site.

I've heard the same. Glad I have not had to deal with that hassle.

OP....not taking sides...don't know either of you. But i have to ask...

1) What does "....no wheels to speak of" mean? You have received something? Nothing?

2) You sent wheels for polishing, or bought wheels that were to be polished and shipped? The site clearly says allow about 2 months for polishing. So 2 months, give or take. When did you order in September?

3) I know this is the worst / busiest time of year to ship items. I'm still waiting for an item ordered 12/1. Just got the tracking number yesterday, and it does not yet have any info from UPS tied to it (so they pulled a shipping tag, but have not yet dropped the item off/had the item picked up). With UPS as busy as they are this time of year, I'm not expecting to see this item this year.

4) I don't know what their operation is like, but at my company, after 12/15, 90% of my team is gone...not to return until the new year. Between company holidays, and vacation days saved for the end of the year, there are VERY few people left at the office. I certainly don't know thrdgenranch's Christmas schedule, but this could be adding to the delays.

5) Add in border delays (also increased seasonal shipping volumes) as mentioned above, and it seems quite possible to piece together a senario where your rims are still going to arrive, but just be a little later than everyone expected.

I hope some of the above is the reason for the delay, and that your are ultimately satisfied with your transaction.

Re: Thirdgen Ranch, everything ok?

Dave,

From what I have been hearing is he hasn't even communicated to these buyers ( Confirmation of Order, Tracking, any delays, not to mention an ETA). It's one thing that the site says it takes 2 months (which it's been 3+) but to not even answer a call or e-mail to let them know, IMO, is crazy. Also, it's a one man operation, which still doesn't justify it because it takes 5 minutes to return a call or e-mail in todays technology. Also, like I said, he is constantly updated his FaceBook page and making craigslist adds under Auto Parts with links that point to his site.

September-ish? The cost for shipping of this 55 lbs. box was -$25- sent via ups.

Re: Thirdgen Ranch, everything ok?

No still waiting.

Last thing i heard from him is this:

ME:

If i would have the right tracking number i could get them from the customs but you keep giving me the same old tracking number from june
I asked the customs several times if there are any packages for me they said there aren't any.

can i get the correct tracking number please

Denny:
The only tracking number we have is the original number. The second package shipped on a claim and we never got a new number for that package.

ME:

but that tracking number dont give me any information about the where abouts of the package
14. Januar 16:49

Denny:

Yes, that's the problem we're having too. Our info just shows a claim being filed and a replacement package being shipping on a claim and a delivery attempt was made on 9/25. We have USPS trying to make another delivery attempt but we can't give them a tracking number so they are trying to locate it.

ME:
19. Januar 18:28
How long will it take? I cant wait for ever. And also what happens if they cant locate it?

Denny:

I would guess if they can't locate it we can file a claim on the second package. However, it sounds like this package may be getting returned. We've found out from past packages that once the first delivery attempt is made there is generally no more info. All of the sudden the package gets returned or gets delivered but there will be no more updates from USPS.

ME:

Do you know how long it usually takes?

Denny:

27. Januar 18:10

The return time varies and there is no tracking info on returns to let you know when they will be back.

He didn't go AWOL he just turned crook, he constantly updates his website and facebook page.. when you post on his facebook page asking him why he don't return e-mails, phone calls, or providing tracking # he deletes it...

Re: Thirdgen Ranch, everything ok?

Then he uses excuses like he didn't receive any emails from you and lies and tries to blame you that he sent you emails and was waiting for your replies BUT he cant produce copies of said emails he sent.
Freaking joke!!!!!!!
He shouldn't even be allowed to be a sponsor of this forum anymore!

Re: Thirdgen Ranch, everything ok?

This is at minimum the 3rd thread I have seen about issues, and between the 3 threads I have seen about 10 members from this site having issues.. IE = never getting track #, taking forever to receive something, or not receiving something at all. Yet he is constantly updating his facebook and posting craigslist ads under auto parts with a link to his site, in every state. I wonder how many other have got burned.

I'd rather pay extra to know:

1. I will actually receive the part
2. The part will be as described.

Re: Thirdgen Ranch, everything ok?

Sadly this kind of thing happens more often than it should. People consumed with greed find a way to start screwing people out of money with perception of little risk and they take advantage of it. Just in this thread alone the thousands of dollars practically stolen and the way he continues on is sickening. I say everyone that's been screwed over show up at his thief-fest and do some persuading to change his ways...

People in his home state should contact the state Attorney General's office. Being he's a business everyone involved should write the Better Business Bureau as well. Hopefully can get the government involved and make his life miserable. Perhaps maybe even a class action lawsuit...

I beginning to believe this guy is a crook too. I ordered wheels from him before Christmas and not received them. I've repeatedly asked for tracking info. because he said they shipped but have yet to receive wheels or tracking info. Luckily I used paypal and they said if he doesn't produce a tracking number by tues. the 24th I can get my money back. Just to let everyone know they have extended their refund policy to 180 days. If you buy from this guy use paypal!

Re: Thirdgen Ranch, everything ok?

So far i have had to get paypal twice involved to get my money back for 2 orders.

I live in New Zealand but was having my order shipped to NJ.

Denny was great at communicating until he had my money. I placed my order in November explaining I need shipment within a week and that was it until Feb this year when he said UPS was having problems with the address.Strangely the other 200 pounds of items I had ordered got there no problem. I had to get my money because the ship sailed early Jan so in effect he missed the boat.

Will never buy from again.

Re: Thirdgen Ranch, everything ok?

Denny is the one who organizes Thirdgen Fest and even though they know what he has done to so many of his customers, people on here are still sticking up for him and wiling to send him money. It boggles my mind.

https://www.thirdgen.org/forums/thir...fest-15-a.html

Edit: They deleted all posts about issues with Thirdgen Ranch. Moderator said he feels these are isolated incidents compared to all the other successful transactions he has had and should be easily explainable by Denny so he sees no problem with him. Good luck to you all. Hope you get resolution or you should be paying Thirdgen Fest a visit along with the police if they will agree to go.

It's only a matter of time before he screws the wrong person, you'd be surprised what some people will go to jail over.

Re: Thirdgen Ranch, everything ok?

This is amazing. I've always had great luck with them! For such a prosperous business to act like this, there must be some serious issues going on...

Shame...and almost unbelievable. Until I see their facebook page...its like a ghost town.

File federal wire fraud charges if you paid electronically or sent payment across state lines. There is no minimum amount that needs to have been accepted, and they do prosecute much more vigorously than state/local do. It's the same as mail fraud.

Hawk will be my first choice since he offers ACC carpet

Always had good experiences with Bruce and his team.

1 year ago I ordered ACC carpet from Denny. Never got the carpet, and took me 4 months to get my money back. Take your business to Hawks. Great people and service.

Re: Thirdgen Ranch, everything ok?

Somebody constantly posts an ad for thirdgen ranch in auto parts on the Phoenix Craig's list page so that place is still very actively trying to rip people off. I flag their ad every single time I see it.
