He still actively sells on EBay and CL. I see his posts all the time when I'm looking for parts in Ia, Mo, and Il.

Re: Thirdgen Ranch, everything ok?

I guess I'll chime in to say I got screwed too. Ordered trans lines and a power steering return line. Got the trans lines, not exactly right but I will make them work. The power steering return line was not even close. E-mailed him twice and finally got a response saying he would take care of it, its been two months and no line and he will not respond to my e-mails. Going to dispute it with my credit card company. WILL NEVER EVER ORDER FROM THIS CLOWN AGAIN!!!!!

Re: Thirdgen Ranch, everything ok?

Well guys,
My past orders from Denny at Thirdgenranch for small parts were filled quickly
and sent within days.

I note some of the recent complains and note some orders were for big heavy
stuff, multiple heavy items (like wheels), and some stuff that was being
shipped out of country and the complains lodged.
And some items were just not up to snuff to boot.

Anyhoo I have been needing a lower Camaro air d*m badly and have
been unable to find one....................

So I figured I would take a shot with Denny at Thirdgenranch
(thru Paypal of course....just in case)!
He had one used for $10 bucks so I figured WTF and give it a shot!

ordered it 1/9/16 and it arrived today 1/13/16.
Its in pretty great condition, no rips or major damage, all the bolt
holes are intact and none are cracked or hogged out!

So I am pleased and in my warm garage today installing it while
its a major lake effect snow storm outside near Syracuse NY !!!
The Z is inside sleeping for the winter BTW.

Good luck to you guys having issues and hope u get things straightened
out soon!

Re: Thirdgen Ranch, everything ok?

I've also recently ordered some parts through Thirdgenranch and while I'd agree that communication isn't at all great (blank shipment confirmations, or no confirmation at all), the items i have received so far have arrived well packaged and in the conditions described.

So far I've ordered a full interior kit and power window/lock kit and some smaller misc items. All of it received within a week or two of placing the order

I'll admit that i had some heavy apprehensions about my orders, as i had placed them before finding this thread and another. But so far, so good.

I will always use Paypal if i can for the buyer protection it offers.

I'm a relatively new 3rd gen owner but have bought and sold parts online for my "other" Z cars (Z31 300ZX) for over 10 years now.

Re: Thirdgen Ranch, everything ok?

He dumps a lot of his stuff locally on craigslist, but good luck actually hearing from him. He is very local to me, a mere 15 minute drive, but I've reached out to him on several different occasions over the years and have never even received so much as a reply back, so no, I wouldn't waste my time with him. Always surprises me that people are in business with such horrible communication skills; I'm not in the habit of chasing down people to give them money, either run it like a business or stop, but don't do a miserable job at it....seriously how hard is it to return an email?

Re: Thirdgen Ranch, everything ok?

Since all of this commotion started a few years ago, I've been afraid to order any parts from Denny. Pity.

Re: Thirdgen Ranch, everything ok?

I really like the cloth kits he sells for the interior plastics, and camaro center consoles. When I first got the stuff I was like, this is really cheap, and crap. Installed it anyways. Actually looked really dang good. He only sells them from time to time.

Re: Thirdgen Ranch, everything ok?

Last time I ordered was a steering brace with the grease fittings for the sway bar mounts. Got everything in a timly manner. Only thing I will say is whoever did the powdercoating, the work was very bad. I sprayed some chassis paint on the car and some got on the brace and the powdercoating melted right off. Had to have a local shop redo it and he told me why it failed.

I didn't know about all the complaints so of course my order went fine.

One thing I do different than most people is I talk to real people and tend to place orders over phone. I think that saves a lot of hassle these other people are experiencing. I'm not giving money to a small business that only works via e-mail. His phone was hard to find, but I did find it.
