Yes, first post........ Anyway summit rules>

Everytime I order throught them, on time and in good order. Jegs is over priced and so is Next generation.

Cool, just wanted first post...

I dont know, Jeggs I believe has some reasonable prices as compared to next gen. I got my 92 z28 wing from them for only around $170, as to where next gen is asking somewhere around $400 or so.

Summit is ok. I like getting their parts in 2 days! But on some parts like heads they don't have them in stock then it takes a couple of weeks to get them to you. When I'm ready to by parts I don't want to hear that they are not in stock!
I never had that problem with JEGs, always in stock. And once they sent me the wrong torque converter and I called them and they sent out a new one to me FED EX next day delivery! And they paid for the shipping for the wrong converter back to them!
As for prices didn't noticed any difference between Summit and Jegs, never delt with Next generation. I guess I better keep an eye on Jegs prices.
Anyway if Summit doesn't have it, cause I like the 2 day delivery, I order it from Jegs.

Yeah, JEGS and Summit are both fast, and their prices are better than Next Gen.

Summit ships their stuff with those little styrofoam plastic peanuts that static cling to everything and get all over you house.

Jegs ships with those big, partially-filled, plastic bags that you can just pop.

I've ordered twice from nextgen and both times they didn't put my apartment number on the shipping label. UPS has a fit and won't deliver it until they call me to get my number. Friggin irritating.

I have personally had better luck with Summit than Jegs or next gen. Summit gets me my parts withing 1-2 days most the time and will waive the handling fee sometimes also. They have also given me 3 free t-shirts and 2 hats. However, When dealing with jegs, I have only had 3 positive experiences. Most of the time when I call them it seems as if it is a bother that I am calling them. Also, I have had problems with some of their salesmen being azzholes. And there hadling fee is $3 more than summit, not much but when you place many orders it adds up. As far as NextGen...who in the heck would order from them when their prices suck and I think you have to pay shipping.

The only time I haven't gotten my Summit order next day (!) was my braided brake lines, which I ordered in June and am still waiting on.

Haha! I can't believe someone complained about something as foofoo as the packing peanuts Summit uses!

Anyway, I wish someone from NextGen would see this and realize how much they're losing because of their jacked up prices. I bet it's so high because they spent so much to make that purty catalog.

Sir,
I am confused about the prices. Perhaps I should send one of our
new catalogs. The prices are much lower. Secondly,
we take car of our customers, no price is in stone. I completely
understand the concerns of our potential customers.
I appreciate you sending this email. If you have any questions
about our company please feel free to give us a call.
Thanks,
Jeremiah

Next gen is nice to read on the toilet with all it's glossy shiny pages.

But when it comes down to business, the formula spends his flow at Summit.

Summit rocks.. I remember before I had a car, and wanted a '79 Ford F-350 with a 429 (meant a 440 drop-in was easier), I thought they were overpriced. Then I got the Firebird, and got other catalogs, and got local prices, and realized Summit's really the cheapest! They've gotten 95% of my total speed-shop business.

Hell, once, my order didn't go out immediately. After 2 days, I called to ask where it was. The rep apologised, comp'd me the $7 handling fee, and sent my heavy cat-back exhaust next-day-air for free! I was very impressed. I don't imagine they'd do that for a brand new customer, but still, I doubt any other store would've done that with a loyal customer.

yo tom!

uhh actually they do do that type of thing for new customers. I have only ordered from Summit twice and Scoggin Dickey once. That's the extent of ordering I have done form speed shops. Everything else is stores or form camaroz28.com and here.

On my first order I got the wrong K&Ns so I had to send them back.

On my second order, this summer, I HAD to get my struts by Monday or else I couldn't put them in until Thanksgiving. I ordered Friday night, too late to be shipped 'til sunday so I ordered two day air and the rep said they would be there on Monday. My brother and I drove to Colorado Springs, where we were picking them up at a friends house and put in the struts. Anyways, we were three hours from home and it was Tuesday morning and UPS said they were on the truck but they wonn't arrive until 1:00...WAY to late to be put in. My bro was leaving on Wednesday at 1!! Well, I called Summit and told him the situation and he refunded the $18 next day air and shipping, I got my struts in on time(barely), but I ended up getting home at 1:00AM the day after I was supposed to get home.

Well that's why I order from Summit, that and they have good prices too.

I get my parts Next Day from Summit If I order before like 6pm. Its great.
Jegs takes Relativly Forever
Their Prices are Identicaly Mostly, So I usually go with Summit For the delivery Time.
