On May 17th we talked about the options for a chip. Right away the next day this guy took my money. I was never provided a tracking number. Was never told for sure it shipped. I have numerous emails and texts saying, "don't worry we will take care of you"
I have asked for a refund or at least correct the situation and send the damn chip and provide a tracking number for proof.
All I keep getting is "I will look into this right away"
It took him about 10 days to send me the link for the Moates adapter. I ordered that right away and received that within 5-6 days.
Now I am out $65 plus shipping from the chip and also have the Moates adapter sitting there useless with no chip.
If there's one thing I hate in lite is bullshit scammers who take other people's money and do absolutely f$&@ all to correct the problem.

 

Let the buyer beware is how the saying goes.Did you check how long the guy's been a member on third gen?Did you check how many posts he has on the forum.Did you Read his posts and threads to see if he was legit.I always do all of the above before I purchase anything on this forum.There have been cases on this forum where a legitimate forum members site has been hijacked by some scumbag who rips off forum members.It doesn't happen often The moderators are pretty good about keeping track of the Third Gen Site.I hope you get your chip and everything woks out .

 

Steve you are 100% correct. And I always research who I am buying from... Except this time. Custom Chips was reccomended by a member on this board so I went with it.
And I just found another topic where this guy told another customer the exact same bullshit story he gave me about the original package being returned back because the address was "undeliverable" and he would take care of it ASAP!
Now to find another reputable supplier for the chip.

 

Brian Harris at Harris Performane did my TPI chip. You can search him here on TGO. I'm sure you'll find mixed reviews on just about every vendor, but he did good by me.
