Door lock key position

Door lock key position

I have an 84 Z28. Can anyone tell me what key position ( off or accessory) the ignition had to be in to operate the factory door locks? Ditto for the hatch poper? Stated another way, will the door locks work with the key off? My car was NOT equipped with remote access from the factory.

My power locks work in all positions (except crank I suspect).

This is correct. If wired properly, then the power door locks, should work, in all key positions, and with key out also.

hey there guys/gals need help my 82 Z28 came with out power door locks need pics of inner door to see were to hook up the actuators and or rods please need help .....lol
