KEY WON'T TURN it's stuck in the lock position
When I put my key in the ignition it will not turn, It is stuck in the lock position. My car is all the way in park, my foot is on the brake and it will not turn. I have been fighting with it all day, and I have tired turning the steering wheel and that has done nothing. What could be the problem?

If it's not stuck because of the steering wheel cranked over too far it's probably your key is worn down or the cylinder itself. Sometimes cutting a new key from the old one can help.

grab the column right by where it goes under the gauge cluster- the outside part actually turns a little bit as some sort of a pointless safety interlock mechanism with the shifter..

Looks like it was the wheel, I kept fighting with it and finally got it to come lose. I have driven the car several more times with no more key problems.
