Anyone ever been successful at buying anything from them?

Re: OEMcats.com

Unless I'm missing something, they're more of a middle man. When you click on a part in the list of vendors who show in stock, you're still buying from that vendor. At least that's the way I thought it works. Always just used them as a reference resource.

That's what I'm thinking too. Seems pretty hard to get anything ordered..

Re: OEMcats.com

I'd probably click the name of the dealership, try calling their parts counter Orc, and have him look-see. From what I've seen there, I'd suspect there are a lot of parts that don't actually exist on shelves, regardless what the search results say. But thats just a hunch

Re: OEMcats.com

Great resource for tracing down the most recent GM part numbers. Lots of part numbers have gone through numerous supersessions over their lives. OEMcats makes it possible to take the part number out of my 1989 manual and find the new part number on Ebay.

Re: OEMcats.com

I just wanted to say that I’ve used this here recently to find an original fuel tank sending unit (Discontinued ACDelco FLS1005/19111386) and that website said several places had it, I called multiple Chevy dealerships and part places it listed and they said no that they don’t have it, I even had one dealership in Ohio (parts department) ask me if I had found them with “OEMcats” I told him yes and he said it’s a scam. I’m not 100% sure if it is, but that’s what he told me. The way I’ve found what I needed was calling several Chevy dealership parts departments and asking them if anybody they know had one, one dealership I called in Oregon pointed me pack to my home state Texas and said there’s one is Corpus and gave me there number.
