Mike and the rest of the crew @ Quick Preformance do their best to get your parts shipped to your house very quickly. No BS snake oil sale pitches either. When ordering a Ford 9" rear end for the 85 IROC the new housing arrived at my house in less then 4 days. The axles arrived in 10 days of my order. When dealing with the 2 aftermarket brake shops to get some C7 caliper brackets fabricated for the new Hawks 1LE spindles, it turned out to be a waste of 5 months time and money with 0 results. A call to Mike @ Quick on a Friday afternoon and I had a complete Wilwood Dynalite brake kit for the 1LE spindles, along with the 9" rear end Dynalite disc brake kit by next Monday afternoon. Great service can still be found @ Quick Preformance.
The fabricator that made this rear end sure knew what they were doing. Checking the bracket locations against the old unit, everything is spot on. The tubes are heavy schedule thick walled pipe and the torque arm mounting brackets on the center pumpkin are very heavy duty. The fabricator sure knew how to weld and didn't spend much time with the grinder cleaning up their welds. I am painting the piece today, letting the paint in the gas tank area dry for another day, before a new Aeromotive FI fuel tank is installed.
Would you care to elaborate on your experience? I'm considering this diff from QP or the Strange 12-bolt on my '91 LS build.
I got their 9" package and it fit like chit. The lower control arm brackets were way too big. The bolt holes were also too big. The panhard bolt hole needed to be slightly enlarged.
Then there's the funky torque arm bracket and once it had the arm bolted on it smashed right into the floor at the rear seat and it rubbed the entire way up the transmission tunnel. The only way I could have any kind of clearance was to adjust it all the way over to the passenger side.
I did reach out to QP about it and their "solution" was to cut the floor. Not much of a solution in my eyes.
In the end I pulled it out and took off the 3rd member and called Midwest Chassis and got their fab 9 housing and axle package with their torque arm and crossmember. It bolted into the car like I was putting the 10 bolt rear back in the car. Zero issues.
Long story short QP complete 3rd members are great, their housings are not so great

Sounds like I'm going with the Strange 12-bolt. I'm not interested in hacking up my floor pan to put Ford parts in my car. Thanks for the information.
