They aren't offering the billet lid exchange anymore. Call the Accel whine line and bitch. You'll probably be on hold for a while........it's a busy line

Might be better off using your lid as a pattern, and having a machine shop cut one out of thicker aluminum. I understand you just want a replacement, but why risk doing the job twice?

They'll probably tell you to use silicone.

It may be quicker to have one made

Pic won't load for me.

I can tell you that you don't want to stress the holes that secure the lid on the plenum any more than you have to. They strip very easily.

You should be able to get away with just tightening it down. You may want to get some longer bolts for the lid though. The ones that come with the kit don't use many of the threads in the plenum because they're so short.

I am continually amazed that they sell a Superram setup for over 1200$ and they continue to use shoody lids and bolts that are too short.

I'm no genius, but I think 10 yrs later, they have made all their money back off of tooling, wouldnt u think?

I'm old enought to remember doing them on cars in the mid-90's, had some loaded friends, we had issues on almost everyone that I can think of.

Someone should go beat them in the head profusely.

Another question. After all the times they have screwed someone, from too short bolts to incorrect gasket sets to warped lids and having to argue to get it replaced(after dropping 1200), why the hell do people keep buying them?

later

In CA, you don't have much of a choice. It's the only aftermarket plenum and runner setup with a CARB-EO number. One can stick with just aftermarket runners, but most of us want more higher RPM power.
