I've got a LT1 intake on a L98 block, and am wondering how everyone runs the water pump fitting. I have a straight fitting in there right now (5/8" nipple 1/2" npt), but it doesn't look like I can get a hose on there with the TB in place. I want to get a 90º angled fitting, but they're pretty spendy ($20-$30), and I don't want to get one to find it won't work. Does anyone have a specific part #, or what do other people run?

Move the nipple to the rear and it fits.
Also, the early fbody TB may fit.

While ugly, a 45* m x f brass fitting may provide clearance.
