I just put the finishing touches on my long running tunnel ram conversion project. I''ve been slowly working on this for about 2 years now and it's finally done. I designed the top part myself and had a local shop build it for a cardboard model I made. Hopefully it works well, Right now the motor has aluminum vette heads and a stock cam. I have a gmpp 236/236 cam for it but am leary about the computer. I should have it installed in the next few weeks.

That thing looks trick for sure, but like the guy before me said, it kinda looks like a HSR, what is the reason for the custom set up? Did you just want something different, that thing really look cool, I have never seen a custom one like that. Did you do some research on the desingn with the slope at the back? Also what RPM range do you think its going to work in, but onece again a great looking custom unit. Hope it works very well for you.
Thats bad *** my friend im curious why you wouldent go with a stealth ram though is it a runner lenght issue or are you just needing a bigger port to match your heads?
I started thinking about an alternative intake about 3 years ago...and at that time I didn't have much money and the canadian dollar was worth about 60 cents U.S. so anything like the HSR or the super ram was just of of my price range. So I started cutting up an old tuned port setup and wacked the runners in half and was going to build my own version of the super ram. Then I lost interest when I found the the tunnel ram on ebay. Some body started the conversion but never finished it. the fuel rails were made and the injector bungs were machined but not welded. So I bought it for about $250 and within a few days had a cardboard template made up on what I wanted it to look like. I took it all to local shop and they did all the welding and maching of the flanges for $1200. I don't know how much any of the other aftermarket intakes sell for so i may be more of less than that but it's finished now. Now I can't decide if I should put it on my current engine or build a new one. Anyways now that yuo know my life story attached are a a few early work in progress pics.

One thing in favor of your design over the Holley is that you have a larger plenum. Nice job. You will need a custom program to get the potential out of you intake system.

I think you should put it on you're current engine, dyno it, show the results.... and after everyone is blown away by it, become a sponsor, and market it!
Seriously though, I've contemplated that very same piece, but with a big block. When I installed the 454 in the Iroc, I originally wanted to finish what GM had started (a project called "The Angry Poodle", which was a counter to the 89' vette project known as "The Big Doggie").
Both projects employed a 454 big block, w/tunnel ram, but converted to TPI (the Camaro project was carbed though, as they unfortunately they never finsihed the concept).
You just heavily inspired me to pick up where I left off. I've already had the Weiand Tunnel Ram for the 454 sitting in storage for years now. Hmm...
gawd that thing will way out-flow an HSR! Race type tunnel ram base with a large plenum. With that large of port either large ci/high rpm or boost would be awesome. - Looks good.
