MiniRam Vs. StealthRam
With identical set up engines, with both making peak power in the 5000-6000 RPM range, which will make more power?

On a dyno test the Miniram produced 4hp more than HSR

Someone stated the Miniram made 4 more peak horses in the SuperRod intake shoot-out (which is similar to your build), but the StealthRam made 22HP and 28lb/ft TQ more than the Miniram at 4600 rpm and about that same difference at 3000 rpm - that's a huge amount of power under the curve you would leave on the table with the MiniRam - especially with the rpm drop you get between gears with the 700r4 transmission.

And how much time did they spend tuning between intakes?

You could get the power curves for each intake close by running different cams - shorter runner intakes need less cam duration to make the same upper RPM HP,, and you can tighten the lobe spread to give it a little more punch in the midrange,,, but the HSR with 6.5" runners is still a short runner intake and what ever cam tricks you use to get the average power up on the Miniram,, the same "tricks" would apply to the StealthRam. The runners on the Miniram are just too dang short for most automatic transmission applications,, but I think the same of the StealthRam as well.
It may sound like I'm a Miniram hater, but I'm not. I'd be glad it was available if I had a Corvette that I road raced with a 434 SBC in front of a six-speed close ratio transmission and wanted to keep the stock hood.

I think there both great intakes. But like someone else said for the price i would go with the stealthram. And it would probably have more area under the curve all things being equal. And not have any lean cylinders to worry about.
I love the midrange of the SuperRam though.

I like the superram also, but for the price and the additional portwork needed to get it to flow so you can turn any rpms, the stealthram still beats it price-wise.

I agree...I had to port mine alot to get it to pull to 5500. Power peaks around 5000 on my 406. On a 350 the topend is better. Still It is a torque style intake. Good luck finding a SuperRam.
If i was in the market for an intake right now i would be looking towards the stealthRam. Looks pretty damn cool too.
