Lot of time and work went into this car! It has a 385 with Trickflow 23* heads, ZZX Cam, Miniram, and a 150 shot. Puts out around 320/340 to the wheels on the motor, and about 440/440 on the spray. Runs mid 12s on the motor, and a 10.95 on the spray! I got to ride in it yesterday and its pretty damn quick. Ive never ridden in a car when someone sprayed nitrous....Im hooked

those numbers seem realllly low. a ZZX cam is 239/239 wth alot of lift. on a 385, with trickflow heads, and miniram that combo should be up towards 375-400whp.

but the car looks very good tho! i love 80's trans ams...i should have bought one

thanks for the compliment on my car...i've never had it weighed but i'm guessing around 3000 to 3100lbs. the car still has full interior including pwr drivers side seat and power windows. anything that wasn't needed in the engine compartment was tossed. front sway bar is also off the car.

i think there is still some fine tuning in the program that needs to be done. it has run a best of 12.6 at 109mph on motor and a 10.95 at 124mph on a 150 wet shot. alot of people tell me that it is impossible for my car to pick up that much time on a 150 shot but i have the timeslips to prove it. i know the dyno numbers don't match the et's or the mph's so i'm guessing my car must be some kind of freak to run the way it does......

i know 320whp is enough to go 12.6 at 109. my buddies SLP SS puts down 333/348 and goes 12.6 at 109-110.

440 whp seems about right for a 150 wet..and running 10.9 at 124 on that power is pretty good if you as me!!

EDIT..is the car an automatic with a large stall speed? that would explain lower numbers.. and was it a dynojet or mustang dyno. i have heard/seen differences there as well

I know it has a 700r4 with a 2800 stall with like a 9" front and 12" rear section or something like that. The pulls were made on a Dynojet according to the dyno printouts Like I said, Ive never ridden in a car with nitrous, and im hooked. The bottle pressure was low so I didnt experience the full hit, but maaaaan I love the way it feels!

My buddy Matt87GTA on this board has a 383 Miniram, ZZX, and Brodix track 1 CNC heads, Hooker 2210's and 4" Mufflex and he's putting out 447 rwhp thru a T56 tranny.

holy crap thats a lot! When my buddy got his car dyno'd they said those trickflow heads are really choking his motor. He says he wants to get those new AFR Eliminator heads which im sure will give him a nice boost, but not to 450hp

Lets see, what else does he have thats noteworthy..........58mm TB, custom 4" intake cold air, 10.7 to 1 compression ratio, he's also got one of the early ZZX cams which I believe has 240/240 duration and 1.6 roller rockers. The newer cams come at 239/239 I think. Not a whole lot of difference but some nevertheless. Here is a link to his 383 spec's,

Sounds like it's running good to me too!!!

I have yet to dyno, but I really don't put alot of stock just in dyno #'s. I've also gone a best of 11.64 @ 119mph on a 1.75 60ft with trick flow heads

dynos don't always give good numbers. (usually it's the other way) but it really comes down to the hp curve and driver in the end. sounds like a good example of thirdgen power for others to see
