[/IMG]Well I finally got the intake all sandblasted and ready for install.This has been long time coming.I ordered the gaskets from Lingenfelter and also had to order the correct bolts from ARP.Hoping to get it installed friday it is to be nice.Maybe I will see some upper end RPM and maybe some all around power? Dam!! I hope this is not going to be a headache.

First one I did sucked and on top of that had a massive vacuum leak. This was back in 1996 and did not have internet or thirdgen.org to help me out. I was pretty much on my own.
Fortunately you have good resources here to get it right the first time.

Yep! Be sure to put a light coat of RTV on both sides of the runner-to-lower intake manifold gaskets, also on the runner-to-plenum gaskets, and don't tighten up any bolts until all are started - and that's fpr every bolt except those holding the lid on the plenum.

Very good point!! Do not tighten anything before you have all bolts threaded. It is actually not hard, just like you said though, it's a headache.lol

Well everybody I was only able to install the lower runners and put the fuel rail and valve covers back on. So saturday is the day,I am going to finsh this crappy job and post up some picks.Talk to you all later.

D@MN, I sure hope that doesn't mean you tightened down the runners before the plenum bolts were started.....
Hopefully you checked all the bolts were the right length and none were bottoming out in the holes. I chased that one for over a year.....
