Vortec HSR + World Products Vortec heads
I've seen a lot of talk about the standard HSR intake needing metal added to the ports to run with aftermarket heads requiring 1206 gaskets.
My quetion is, is this a concern with the Vortec HSR, if I wanted to run the new World Products 215cc or 235cc Vortec heads? I've searched and haven't found any posts on here with people running these heads (probably because they are new to the market), but I was just curious.
Here is a link to the heads on world castings website.

Considering a similar setup. Spoke w/ World about two weeks ago lookin for flow numbers, not yet available. Their ad is misleading in that only the 215cc head is Vortec design. The 235cc is a new 23* (high port?), but not Vortec.
You moving to something bigger than the 5.7?

Yeah, I've got a Vortec HSR 383 going in the car now. I'm wanting to buy some decent flowing vortec heads within the next 6 months, as well as a cam to match. I like the GMPP fast burn's and the Etec-200's, but I had heard rumor that World Products would be coming out with some that would rival them both.
I wasn't sure how large I could go before the HSR started to become a bottleneck cfm-wise. Also, I haven't really heard of anyone needing to add material to a vortec HSR, but after seeing (what I thought) was a 235cc vortec head advertised from World Products, I got curious. Thanks for clarifying that the 235cc head isn't a vortec-style.
