LT1 Intake conversion - Injector question

For those of you who have done an LT1 conversion, or have seen them done - How did you fit the standard TPI injectors?
At the moment I've taken the clips off as there doesn't seem to be a use for them on the LT1 fuel rails. Pushed the injector into the fuel rail then bolted it tight down.
The thing is the injector doesn't seem to go very far into the manifold and I can clearly see the O-ring sitting there. They are tight down but I'm unsure if they are supposed to go in deeper?
Any advice greatly apreciated!

I'm subscribed, I haven't seen this part and am curious as well. Why aren't you running LT1 injectors?

I should mention its on a 85 Corvette some TPI as standard - I had heard that the TPI injectors were OK to use...

Re: LT1 Intake conversion - Injector question

The LT1 Rails have their own injector clip. It is on the top of the injector. I do not know if the injector can leak or come out without the clip, but I do not want an engine fire, so I would not leave them out.
CLIP GOOD
FIRE BAAAAAD!!!!!!!
You should use some lube on the o rings before you install them so they will slip into the manifold all of the way.
