Anyone have a problem with this? I'm using poly mounts, didn't think I'd run into this problem with a camaro. Is the vortec taller then the std sbc head hsr?

Thanks,

I haven't bolted up my hood yet, but I may be in the same boat. From the looks of it, you might be able to get away with clearancing the bracing, or bite the bullet and buy an after market hood with better clearance.

For what it's worth my vortec hsr clears the hood (just). From what I can tell the very front of the throttlebody is the closest point & if you look under the hood you might see a bit of the hood bracing comes out in that exact spot.

there was no way it was going to clear even with the bracing cut, do you have stock mounts? I had to go with an aftermarket hood.

Yeah I have rubber mounts. What style hood did you get? I have wanted to get a fiberglass cowl hood for a while but they are pretty expensive to import over here.
